Still working on an ideal Christmas gift idea? Stuck on what to buy for your family and friends? Don't get into a holiday gift shopping panic, it isn't really that bad, especially if you pick up some helpful tips here.

Reading real stories about some of the most bizarre Christmas gifts received just got me laughing off my head. You wouldn't believe it - a pound of ground beef chuck direct from the freezer, cast iron kettle that you hang over a camp fire, a t-shirt that said right on it, 'Worse Present Ever', a broken portable radio, four Ramen noodle packages. Perhaps some of you would counter me with the famous line, "It is the thought that counts", but I just cannot imagine how much those presents would have had sent the recipients' holiday enthusiasm plummeting to the pit bottom.

If leaving wonderful impressions and getting into good books are what you would care for, be kind when planning what to get. It's hard to go wrong when you go by the Golden Rule, "Do unto others what you would have others do unto you." Never resort to buying or recycling one of those run-of-the-mill Christmas gifts like socks, towels, mugs, snow man knick-knack please. These gifts may be work well for party gift exchanges with a bunch of strangers, but not for those whom you love and care. You don't want your gift to end up in the gift-exchange pile on Boxing Day, do you!

Family reunions and the exchange of gifts are the most important features of the season. There are too many unique gift ideas out there, but from the perspective of a honey enthusiast, I suggest giving something that is thoughtful, heart-warming, sweet, and caring. Honey and honey bees related items can be innovative, jolly, and even luxurious gifts. They are appropriate for the joyous season, representing sweetness, warm and richness of life. Honey cosmetics, products for soothing baths and massages, honey spa lotions, a classy bottle of premium honey, and honey gift baskets are all excellent ideas. The older folks would appreciate gifts such as royal jelly, gourmet honey, Manuka honey, and honeycombs.

To make your gift go even further for you, how about signing it off with this line:

"It's said that the average honey bee will actually make only one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime and it takes about 550 honey bees to make 1 pound of honey (ie less than half a kilogram) from some 2 million flowers.
